Yet, few people fully understand the scope and far-reaching implications of board members’ responsibilities. All Texans should recognize the vital contributions of these men and women and focus attention on the crucial role these elected leaders play in the education of our children.  Alan White Alan White was elected to the DISD Board in 1999 and is currently serving as President. Mr. White serves on the DISD Education Foundation and is very active with youth groups and volunteers with reading programs in the Decatur ISD. (Place 3) |  Kevin Haney Kevin Haney was elected to the DISD Board of Trustees in 2006 and is currently serving as Vice-President. Mr. Haney is a partner in the law firm of Miller & Haney, L.L.P., and has three children attending Decatur schools. (Place 6) |  Chris Lowery Chris Lowery was elected to the Decatur ISD Board of Trustees in May 2009 and is currently serving as Secretary. Mr. Lowery is an Oracle Financials Database Administrator for Americredit and has three children attending Decatur schools. (Place 7) |
 Gary Clayton Gary Clayton was elected to the DISD Board of Trustees in May 2010. Mr. Clayton is retired from the County Extension Agency, his wife is employed with Decatur ISD and they have three children. Two graduated from Decatur ISD and one still attends Decatur ISD. (Place 1) |  Jeff Elder Jeff Elder was elected to the DISD Board of Trustees in 2010. Mr. Elder is self-employed, his wife is employed with Decatur ISD and they have two children that attend here. (Place 2) |  Dr. Jeff Alling Dr. Jeff Alling was elected to the DISD Board of Trustees in 2008. Dr. Alling is a physician in Decatur and has one child attending Decatur schools and three that graduated from Decatur ISD. (Place 4) |
 Joey Luttrull Joey Luttrull was elected to the Decatur Board of Trustees in 2006 and served as President from 2008-2010. Mr. Luttrull owns Chevrolet dealerships and has two daughters attending Decatur schools. (Place 5) |
