EpiPen and Immunization Information
At the January 2016 DISD Board of Trustees meeting, the Board approved FFAC(LOCAL). This district policy allows authorized and trained staff to administer epinephrine auto-injectors at any time to a person experiencing anaphylaxis on a school campus.
Like the AEDs that are located on all campuses, having the epi-pens at all campuses will ensure that trained personnel will be able to administer life-saving first aid to students when emergencies occur.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Charity Knight, our district health coordinator at 940-393-7181.IMMUNIZATION CLINICOUTREACH CLINIC/WIC OFFICE

As of January 2, 2012, local health departments and health service regional clinics providing vaccines through the Texas Vaccines for Children (VFC) program are no longer able to vaccinate individuals with insurance (although you might have obtained them there in the past). Instead, insured students must receive vaccinations through their private doctor. Please call and set up an appointment as soon as possible with your doctor so your child can receive the needed vaccines. Without the proper documentation of required vaccinations or a valid medical or conscientious exemption, student will not be allowed to attend school.
