Mr. Sean Stanton

My name is Sean Stanton, and I am excited to serve our community as a counselor at DHS this year.  My background in education has been invested in the families of Northwest ISD and Keller ISD prior to moving to Decatur, but of course we got here as fast as we could!
My family consists of my wife, three girls, two little boys, two cats, and one imaginary uncle.
I have a varied and extensive list of hobbies/interests; however, as you might gather from the description of my family, I get to do none of them, so listing them here would probably just make me feel depressed.
I am looking forward to partnering with the Decatur ISD community to protect, guide, and encourage our children, and to make DISD Counseling the best in all the land!
I serve as the counselor for students with last names beginning with letters A - G.

School Counselor for students with last names H-O

Hello Eagles Family!

I am so excited to join the DHS team and serve our students and community. I am entering my 20th year in education. I taught elementary, middle, and high school for eight years before starting my career as a school counselor. I worked as a middle school counselor for seven years and am starting my fifth year as a high school counselor. I absolutely love helping students work towards their goals and reach their highest potential.

My husband and I have two daughters, two sons, and two grandchildren! Our youngest daughter is the only one left at home and she keeps us busy with her sports and activities! We love to travel and, as a family, have marked off 33 states so far with plans to mark off several more during Christmas break!

I am excited about all that this year holds and look forward to partnering with you to make this a great year! #EFND
