    Technical difficulties with my computer
    Submit a Technology Work Order by going to https://www.decaturisd.us, navigate to the Staff page and choose Maint and Technology Work Order Request. Follow instructions on the SchoolDude web site to register your name, complete the form and enter decatur as the password to submit a work order. Work orders are assigned to Technology Staff once processed by Rose Ramsey, Help Desk Secretary.

    Skyward – General Issues
    All Skyward issues are coordinated by Kay Sparks, District PEIMS Coordinator who reports to Cindy Tatum, Deputy Superintendent.  You may experience two types of issues with Skyward: Software and Technical. Good rule of thumb: if you are able to login to Skyward and are having problems getting Skyward to do what you need it to do, that is a Software issue and can be addressed by your Campus Technology Facilitator, Campus Secretary or Kay Sparks.  Technical issues may involve not being able to get to the Skyward login screen, printing, or internet browser issues. Technical issues can be addressed by the Technology Department.

    Skyward – I can get to the Skyward Login Screen but it won’t let me login
    If you are not able to login to Skyward it is most likely a password or username issue.  After too many login attempts, your account can become locked.

    Skyward – The link to skyward is not working and I am receiving an error message
    If you are not able to get to the Skyward login screen then there is likely a server problem or maintenance issue. This is a technical issue and is addressed by the Technology Department.

    Distance Learning – I would like to schedule a distance-learning event for my class
    Each campus has access to distance learning equipment that is part of the Region 11 Telecommunications network (RETN).

    Eduphoria – I am not able to see my students in Aware
    Eduphoria Aware takes our test data, which may be TAKS or local benchmark assessments, and allows you to disaggregate the data.  Aware communicates with Skyward to align your students with the data stored in the Eduphoria server. Any problems with viewing your students involve how your students are scheduled in Skyward and how you as a staff member are configured.

    Schoolwires – I am having trouble editing my Teacher Web Page
    Decatur ISD uses Schoolwires to manage the district and campus web sites.  You use your Internet Browser to edit your page and no special software is required.

    Telephones – General Issues
    The Technology Department manages all telephones throughout the district.  If you have trouble with phone quality, accessing voicemail, or any other issues, contact the Technology Department. Please submit a work order to have issues repaired.

    Network – General Issues
    If you are not connected to the network at all, please make sure your campus office knows to make sure it isn’t a campus or district-wide issue.  If it is isolated to your room, please ask a campus office staff member to submit a work order on your behalf and have them contact the Technology Department.

    Google G-Suite for Education Issues
    If you are having issues with logins or need assistance using Google G-Suite for Education in your classrooms please differentiate between instructional or technical issues and contact the appropriate person for assistance. If you are needing assistance instructionally you can contact Jennifer Terrell, Elementary Instructional Technologist or Stephanie Quarles, Director of Curriculum and Instruction. If you are having technical difficulties with logins or other issues you can contact the Technology Department at ext. 7150.

    Online Instructional Resources
    Decatur ISD has many online instructional resources such as online textbooks, assessment tools, Canvas, ClassLink, and content resources. Those are coordinated at the district level to ensure all teachers and students have the correct access they need to use these tools.

    ParentLink Mass Notification System
    Decatur ISD uses ParentLink for mass notifications via email, text and other social media. Teachers and Administrators have access to the system to communicate with parents and staff.
