  • We are excited to begin the 2019-20 school year and welcome all our students to DHS this Wednesday, August 14th at 8am!  The DHS school day will be from 8am - 3:40pm.  Students not participating in morning athletics may begin arriving at DHS at 7:15am.  The school day consists of 8 periods (45 or 50 minutes each) with the exception of 5th period, and 5 minute passing periods between each class period.  There are 3 student lunches that will be conducted during 5th period (A, B, & C lunch).  A reminder that DHS is a closed campus and students are expected to remain on-campus during all lunches.  Students will need to park in the designated student parking lot only during school hours and display their DHS parking permit.

Parents & students can now access their student's schedule online in Skyward Family Access.  Students will also receive a paper copy of their schedule on Wednesday morning, August 14th.

The students will be served by three assistant principals and three counselors this school year divided into the following alpha groups:

*Last names A - G:  Assistant Principal Larry Hicks / Counselor Kristy Phipps
*Last names H - O:  Assistant Principal Marzia Infante / Counselor Megan Thomas
*Last names P - Z:  Assistant Principal Debbie Boatright / Counselor Catherine Kelly

We look forward to meeting our students on Wednesday and working with our parents and families to make this a great school year.
