• Decatur ISD’s Career & Technical Education Program (CTE) serves all students by helping them discover their own unique strengths and interests. Our mission is to provide students with business/industry experience. Students are exposed to a unique combination of classroom instruction and placements in technical work environments where they can acquire new information, concepts, techniques and procedures related to their specific career interests.

Career and Technical Education (CTE) must prepare all students to continue to learn in institutions of higher learning, and provide quality training and opportunities for entry-level (or above) employment. Decatur ISD’s Career and Technical programs are committed to providing rigorous instruction that integrates academics in relevant and innovative ways to keep students interested and excited about their educational goals.

If there is one thing I’m truly passionate about, it’s education! It was instilled in me from an early age that education is priceless. Luckily, I get to use my passion to help provide students with the best possible CTE experience. Whether a student chooses to continue his/her education at a university, a community college, a trade school, or enter directly into the workforce after graduation, as the CTE Director, it is my responsibility to provide the students of Decatur ISD with a high quality CTE program that helps prepare them for whatever their career path may be. Seeing students become successful in life brings me great joy and keeps me excited about education!
