• End-of-Year Calendar for Seniors

    May 22..............................“Senior Sendoff” begins at DHS/6pm

    • Students can start lining up at 5pm in the DHS student parking lot
    • Decorating is permitted
    • Must stay in cars
    • Jeeps, pickups okay but must stay socially distant as much as possible
    • Cars will be lined up by DHS faculty
    • Must stay in cars along route
    • Will be escorted by the Decatur Police
    • Route:
      • 287 Business North to Walnut Street
      • West on Walnut, then south on Lane
      • East on Main and then south on 287 back to DHS

    May 29 ……....Senior Breakfast @ First Baptist Church / 10am (Seniors only)

    • Outside/no seating
    • Primo Burritos will be provided along with water and juice
    • All food/drinks will be pre-packaged
    • Dresscode:
      • Ladies-DHS has a tradition that girls wear a white dress to Senior Breakfast and wear the same dress under their gowns as Baccalaureate and Graduation.
      • Gentlement-Black pants or khakis, collared shirt

    May 29 .......Baccalaureate Rehearsal @First Baptist Church CANCELLED

    May 31 ................................. Baccalaureate Service @First Baptist Church / 4pm

    • VIRTUAL SERVICE ONLY, no family/friends
    • It will be live streamed live on Facebook and Youtube (First Baptist Church Decatur)
    • LIVE AT 4pm and can be viewed at a later time
    • Seniors please arrive no later than 3:30pm
    • Dresscode:
      • Ladies-can wear white dress worn to Senior Breakfast
      • Gentlemen-dress pants and collared shirt
    • This is a religious observance of graduation sponsored by they local churches.

    June 3..............................Senior Banquet

    • We are sad to say that we will not be having a senior banquet this year due to Covid restrictions.

    June 5 ..................... GRADUATION CEREMONIES START AT 8:20PM

    • ALL SENIORS NEED TO BE AT DISD ADMIN BUILDING AT 7 PM
      • 307 S. Cates, Decatur, TX 76234
    • Eagle Stadium
    • Dresscode:
      • Must wear cap and gowns
      • Ladies-please note that you will be walking on grass, you might not want to wear heels. Wedges or flats might be preferable.
        • White dresses are traditional
      • Gentlemen-nice pants/slacks, collared shirt, tie optional
    • Your family will need to bring their graduation ticket(s) to graduation to enter, there are no extras so please keep them in a safe place.
    • Your family is allowed two (2) vehicles at graduation (including graduates).
      • Place parking pass in front window, clearly visible.
    • These were given to seniors at laptop return.

    June 27.........................Prom (RSVP only)

    • Saturday, June 27, 7pm
    • Globe Life Park, Arlington, TX
    • You should have gotten an email to RSVP to prom.
    • NOTE:There is still a chance that prom could be cancelled due to Covid restrictions. We will be checking with the venue in the middle of June for more up to date information. Please check parent/senior email for these updates.
    • NOTE: According to Officer Hoskins there will be no prom activities on the square due to current state regulations.
