    Leon Elsbecker, Director of Technology
    Mr. Elsbecker serves the students and staff of Decatur ISD as Director of Technology after joining the district in July, 2021.
     
    Mr. Elsbecker began his career in 1994 as a teacher/coach in Jal, NM.  He later joined the teaching staff at both Quinlan Ford and Aubrey ISDs in Texas.  He taught for a total of 4 years before becoming the Technology Director at Little Elm ISD where he served in that capacity for 15 years.  Mr. Elsbecker served as an Integration Systems Analyst at TWU for a year before moving to Sanger ISD as the Director of Technology, a position he held for the last seven years.
     
    He is currently a member of the North Texas Association of Technology Directors and  Texas Computer Education Association.  Mr. Elsbecker lives in Denton, Texas and is a proud father of 3 young men.

    VISION
    The Technology Department of Decatur ISD will be a catalyst for change in Decatur ISD. The change will be a new way of teaching, where information management and technology are integral in the future success of all DISD students. DISD students will be the future leaders of an information rich age.

    Our highest mission is to provide leadership, stewardship and development in instructional technology while maintaining integrity, practicing honesty, developing trust and genuinely caring for all people who may directly or indirectly benefit from our practices.
