    Troy Bagwell, Director of Technology
     
    Troy Bagwell serves the students of Decatur ISD as Director of Technology. Mr. Bagwell joined the district in August, 1996 as the Director of Technology.
     
     
    Mr. Bagwell began his career in 1991 as a Project Specialist with the Texas Center for Educational Technology at the University of North Texas.  He then went on to be Technology Coordinator for the CREST Center for Professional Development and Technology at the University of Texas at Arlington before coming to Decatur ISD.
     
     
    He is currently a member of the North Texas Association of Technology Directors, Texas Computer Education Association, International Society for Technology in Education, Texas ASCD, and Texas Association of School Administrators.  Mr. Bagwell also serves as a Board Member of the Decatur Public Library.
     
     
    Mr. Bagwell lives in Decatur, Texas with his wife and two children.

    VISION
    The Technology Department of Decatur ISD will be a catalyst for change in Decatur ISD. The change will be a new way of teaching, where information management and technology are integral in the future success of all DISD students. DISD students will be the future leaders of an information rich age.

    Our highest mission is to provide leadership, stewardship and development in instructional technology while maintaining integrity, practicing honesty, developing trust and genuinely caring for all people who may directly or indirectly benefit from our practices.
