Graduation Rehearsal:
- May 22, 2024 @ 1pm in the DHS main gym- MANDATORY
- You MUST attend graduation rehearsal if you plan to participate in DHS Graduation Ceremony.
Suggested attire when wearing cap and gown:
- Gentlemen: White dress shirt with a dark tie, dark pants, dark socks, dark dress shoes and collared shirt. No tennis shoes or flip-flops. Please pin collars to the gown.
- Ladies: Simple dresses with dress shoes, no tennis shoes or flip-flops. Please pin collars to the gown.
Graduation Caps are worn flat and straight with the tassel draped to the left. All tassels will be changed from left to right during the graduation ceremony. Consider your cap when choosing your hairstyle. You may need hair pins to secure your cap in place.
- Write your name in your cap.
- You may not decorate your cap
Graduates arrive at the UNT Coliseum Super Pit at 7:00pm. Enter through the doors that face the North.
No parents are allowed in the line-up room.
No purses or personal items (unless you have a pocket) etc.
Absolutely, NO CELL PHONES are allowed past the graduate entrance. If you bring in a cell phone you will have to return it to your car or parents. We do not return to the line-up room; therefore, we cannot retrieve any items left behind.
Graduates will participate in a recessional and exit the Coliseum through the South Tunnel.
Guests will be asked to meet their graduates outside of the Coliseum at the conclusion of the ceremony.
Project Graduation buses will leave First Baptist Church at 11:30pm. Seniors must have their t-shirt for entry into project graduation.
