Online Registration for your 2023-24 Pre-Kindergarten or Kindergarten student opens in Skyward on March 11, 2023.
Please note: If your student is a current Pre-K student in DISD, they will automatically rollup to Kindergarten for 2023-2024 school year! You DO NOT need to complete an online enrollment application for them.
STEP 1: Enroll your child online (required for every registrant).
STEP 2: Attend PK/Kindergarten Round-Up for Document Review April 13, 2023 5:30 - 7:00.
Items Needed for Document Review
Student’s Birth Certificate (Order a certified birth certificate at Texas.gov)
Student’s Immunization Record
Student’s Social Security Card
Proof of residency in the form of a current (within last 30 days) electric, gas, water bill or lease agreement, Affidavit Proof of Residency Form (No other documents will be accepted).
Parent/Legal Guardian’s Government Issued Photo Identification
Pre-Kindergarten Qualification - Documentation Needed for Document Review
Learning English as a second language - Students must be tested and qualify as limited English proficient.
Income -- Bring current pay stub with gross income for all household members OR
- Proof of Food Stamp/TANF (if applicable)-Public Assistance Award Letter (Food stamp/TANF letter indicating current amount & dates)
Homeless - Complete Student Residency Questionnaire on campus
Dependent of a member of the military on active duty, injured or killed while on active duty.
Student is currently or has been in the conservatorship (foster care) of the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) following an adversary hearing.
Dependent of an individual who received the Star of Texas Award - peace officer (3106.002), firefighter (3106.003), or emergency medical first responder (3106.004). - Certificate awarded to an individual for the Star of Texas Award
