Saturday, January 6, 2023, 9 DHS Choir students competed for a chance to be in the All-State Choir.
Decatur ISD had 5 of the 9 finish in the top 10 and one Student who finished high enough to make the All-State Choir:
Isaiah Rodriguez - 10th chair bass
Levi Johnson - 9th chair bass
Eleanor Bond - 9th chair alto
Sydney Hayes - 7th chair alto (1st alternate)
Catherine Yurasek - 6th chair alto and member of the TMEA All-State Choir!
All-State Choir is the biggest individual achievement possible for choir students.
This is Catherine's 2nd time to be in the All-State Choir and the first Decatur ISD repeat All-State member as a Freshman and Sophomore. She will sing with the All-State Choir on Saturday, February 10th in San Antonio.
