The logo for the Texas High School Powerlifting Association (THSPA). The image features the acronym "THSPA" in bold, silver block letters with a red outline and a black 3D extrusion effect. Below the text is a blue silhouette of the state of Texas overlaid with a large white star. Inside the star is a silhouette of a flexed bicep, and the star is "wearing" a brown weightlifting belt. A silver barbell with heavy plates is positioned horizontally behind the star and Texas map, angled slightly. The entire design uses a patriotic red, white, and blue color scheme with metallic accents.

🎨 Big Wins for DHS Art!
Join us in celebrating our incredibly talented Decatur High School artists! This past Saturday, our students headed to the Regional UIL Visual Arts and Scholastic Event (VASE), and the results are in.

We are so proud to announce that our students brought their "A" game, with all receiving the highest possible rating of 4 and bringing home those well-deserved medals! 🥇

The VASE competition is a rigorous test of creativity, technical skill, and the ability to articulate the meaning behind the work. Seeing our Eagles excel at this level is a testament to their dedication and the hard work they put into every brushstroke and sketch.

Congratulations to all the competitors! Your vision and passion make DHS a more vibrant place every day. 🦅✨

A large group of approximately 15 high school students poses for a group photo in a brightly lit school cafeteria. In the foreground, a girl in a pink sweatshirt sits at a purple table with an Amazon cardboard box taped shut in front of her. Other students stand or sit around the long table, which is scattered with art supplies, bags, and personal items. The students are dressed in casual clothing like hoodies, jeans, and sweaters. Hanging from the ceiling above them are large purple banners featuring various years (2016 through 2022) in gold lettering. The background shows the expansive cafeteria space with more tables and a few other people in the distance.
🚓 Putting skills to the test in Law Enforcement 1! Our students dove into the world of forensic science, learning the meticulous methods of fingerprint collection.

Using both the classic "dusting" and "twirl" techniques, they successfully dusted for prints on surfaces and transferred them to cards. Students also mastered the art of inking, carefully performing the "roll" to capture clear, precise prints.

The card features several detailed black ink-rolled fingerprints in labeled boxes. Another student is visible in the upper background, seemingly about to ink their hands or work on another card. Multiple fingerprint cards, some with existing prints, pencils, and additional black lids are scattered across the table.
