Good afternoon Eagle family, It is that time of year for our annual Live Thankfully food drive supporting Wise County families. This year, Live Thankfully will be providing food for over 500 families so we need your help in making sure we meet this goal! This year, students may bring items from the attached food list to their Eagle Time teacher for a class competition. The competition will run from December 3rd through Thursday, December 12th. Please make sure to look at the list of needed items, and keep in mind the reminders of no glass, no bulk or gallon size items, and please check expiration dates. A big thank you to Dr Wooten, Sean Stanton (DHS), Jennifer Chaney (MMS) and the counseling department for your presentation on Cultivating Resilience to Prevent Bullying!  

Focus Fridays at DHS: Our Practicum PCT and CCMA classes at Weatherford College were able to visit with one of their professors in the nursing program. They got to assess patients that were experiencing respiratory and cardiac difficulties. They also got to experience the infant mannequin who was experiencing respiratory distress. They practiced starting IVs, using AED simulators and giving insulin injections. Way to go!! 👏🏻👏🏻🦅💙

Focus Fridays at DHS: Our instructional focus today included Seniors studying the Anglo-Saxon time period and completing a text analysis on different characters found in The Canterbury Tales. They created a life size drawing illustrating the character’s physical description along with the character’s personality traits. Nice work!! 👏🏻👏🏻🦅💙 #wearedecatur
