Decatur ISD is monitoring upcoming weather reports for the possibility of inclement weather, including snow, ice, and freezing temperatures, later this week and into next week.
We will notify families of any necessary closures or delays to schools or events as soon as possible. If school is cancelled or delayed, families and staff will be notified through our website, phone calls, texts, and emails, our Facebook page, and local news media.
Also, several games have already been rescheduled or postponed. We will update this post with sports and other DISD event changes as we are informed. The new times are listed below.
Both the boys' and girls' basketball games against Bridgeport moved to Thursday, Jan. 22:
Main Gym: 5 p.m. Varsity girls and 6:15 p.m. Varsity boys
Auxiliary Gym: 5 p.m. JV boys at 5 p.m. and JV girls at 6:15 p.m.
The girls' soccer game against Lake Dallas has been postponed.
The boys' soccer game against Wichita Falls Memorial has been postponed.
The girls powerlifting meet at Graham has been moved to Wednesday, Jan. 21.
The tennis match on Friday, Jan. 23, has been cancelled.
Events for the Fort Worth Stock Show have not been canceled at this time, but we do have plans to care for family's animals if needed.
The middle school girls basketball away game at Alvarado is canceled with no reschedule.
The middle school boys basketball will play as scheduled Thursday at home on Jan. 22.
