New To Carson? Carson 101

Welcome to our school!  Whether you are new to Carson because your oldest child is starting Kindergarten or if you're an experienced school parent who has recently moved to our area, we want to say hello and thank you for your partnership with us.  Together, we'll make a huge difference in the life of your child.

Here are a few videos that may help you acquaint yourself with our procedures.

  • Here is a very brief video tour of the building.

  • Video of how our afternoon pick-up procedures work.

    • Safety first!  Please be mindful of the traffic flow, crosswalks/pedestrians, and refrain from cell phone usage.

    • School dismisses at 3:20 PM

    • KG, 1st, and 2nd grade dismiss out the south (gymnasium) side of the building.

    • 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade dismiss out the east (front) side of the building.

    • If you have siblings in both ranges, the older (3-5th) sibling will go with the younger (KG-2nd) sibling out the gymnasium side.

    • Car lines double up (side by side).

    • Please have your yellow car-rider form filled out in dark, legible writing, and easy to see by our staff members.

    • Older kids will load themselves.  Younger students will be helped by staff.  If you need to buckle a younger child, please pull over in the lot and take care of that so that cars behind you can move forward.

    • We hope to send your kids home with stories to share and smiles on their faces!

  • Video of how our morning drop-off procedures work.

    • Safety first!  Please be mindful of the traffic flow, crosswalks/pedestrians, and refrain from cell phone usage.

    • School begins at 7:50 AM (tardy time).

    • Students may be dropped off curbside only--no double side-by-side lines of cars.

    • Students may be dropped off on the south of the building by the gym doors until 7:45.

    • Students may be dropped off on the east of the building by the front doors at any time...entry after 7:50 will be marked tardy.

    • We hope to see kids on time and ready to learn with smiles on their faces!
