ATTN: CLASS OF 2024 UNT's G-Force will be on campus this Friday, March 22nd, from 9:30AM to 1:30PM. This organization is set up to assist seniors needing help completing their FAFSA. Students can come to the 2nd-floor office and meet with them if they choose. Parents are welcome to meet with their students as well. Please check in to the 1st-floor office. Helpful tip: Students should have already completed creating their FSA ID prior to meeting with G-Force. You can find helpful FAFSA information and instructions on how to do this at: www.studentaid.gov Reminder: this organization helps ALL students, not just those interested in UNT. Any senior is welcome to come ask for assistance. Please note that completing the FAFSA or an opt-out form is a state of Texas graduation requirement. Thank you.

On 3/3/24 at approx. 8:55pm, Decatur ISD admin. and Decatur PD were notified of a suspicious social media post possibly concerning Decatur ISD. Investigation began immediately and the post has been determined to originate from a student living in another school district. That school district's local PD is now handling the situation. DHS swimmers were recognized for their accomplishments at the UIL 4A State Swim Meet during the Feb. school board meeting! -Johnny Albaugh- Gold in the 100 Fly and Silver in the 50 free at State. (New team records in both, first swimmer to go under 22 seconds in the 50 free in program history) -Johnny Albaugh, Logan Fultz, Aaron Williamson, Blaze Pippen: Silver in the 200 Free relay -Eliana Bridges -Zoey Hall- 1st freshman swim athlete to qualify for state, 1st swim athlete to qualify all 4 years for state, 1st athlete to medal in state (she medalled last year twice) She is graduating as the most decorated swim athlete we have ever had.
