Riding a school bus is a privilege provided by Decatur Independent School District and should be treated as such. This application form and eligibility and safety guide will help provide a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone who rides the school bus. Parents/guardians, please take the time to read and discuss this important information with your children. Misconduct on the bus or at the bus stop may result in a student losing this privilege. 

During peak registration times it is possible that it might take 2-3 days to process a new application for transportation and get your child into the system.  For applications made after August 9, 2019, please make arrangements to transport your child to school until notified by the transportation department.  You will receive a call detailing your child’s bus, driver, pickup and dropoff times, and where the bus stops near your house.  Bus service will not start until you have been contacted.
