students running through bubbles during the color run

Students at McCarroll Middle School recently experienced a brand new event! The McCarroll PTO hosted a Color Run Fundraiser open to any McCarroll 6th, 7th, and 8th grader and their families. Over 300 participated in the fun run! The route was a mile long and consisted of color stations where volunteers showered runners with a rainbow of color powder. Webs Party Service was on hand as well blasting racers with foam and bubbles as they went by and students made their way to Kona Ice when they finished.

The Color Run couldn’t have been possible without help from so many! PTO volunteers, SRO Cristina Schwabe, Coach Lisa Dyer, Coach Cameron Tyler, Coach David Park, and the DHS Cross Country team assisted on race day. The PTO also worked with two local businesses (Shauna Walker with Paradise Printing and Fit N Wise) for racers to have the shirts they needed and the inflatable finish line. The brand new fundraiser brought in over $4500 and will be used for McCarroll student field trips.
