Mrs. Ledger, Principal

I am so excited and proud to be the principal of Rann Elementary! I graduated from University of North Texas with a Bachelor's degree in Education. I began my teaching career with Birdville ISD in 1998, 2nd grade. In 2001, I moved to Northwest ISD and taught 1st and 2nd grade. I later worked as a reading interventionist, campus instructional teacher, and assistant principal.  I earned a Master's Degree in Education Administration from Lamar University. This is my 26th year in education and I'm looking forward to another amazing school year.

I have a husband and two children. My oldest graduated from Boyd ISD in 2018 and my youngest is a sophomore at TAMU.

My job as a Principal  is to provide your children with a safe learning environment in which they can achieve their highest potential both academically and socially. In order for our students to achieve all that they can, we are asking you to be an active participant in your child's education. We know together we can prepare our children for the future.

Mrs. Elledge, Assistant Principal

Mrs. Elledge, Assistant Principal

Hi! My name is Annalysa Elledge and I am so excited to be part of the Rann Elementary community! This will be my 3rd year as assistant principal and 2nd year at Rann. I look forward to building relationships with students, staff, and families and working together to cultivate a learning community that embodies trust, communication and collaboration. I fully believe that we build better, together- and I can’t wait to be a part of that in Decatur ISD!

I graduated from Midwestern State University a Bachelors in Elementary Education as well as a  Masters in Educational Leadership. I am currently wrapping up my final year at Abilene Christian University where I am pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership with an emphasis on Postive Leadership. Before becoming an assistant principal, I spent several years in the classroom where I taught kindergarten, fourth grade, and fifth grade.

I live in Decatur with my husband, Kaleb, and our four children- Kara (13), Jax (11), and Jonah & Jude (9). We love to go on hiking adventures, spend time cooking outside, and try new foods. My kids would tell you that I love coffee, that I love everyone’s kids, and that I love to laugh.
