The Decatur ISD Board of Trustees Unanimously Call School Bond Election 

Election Day is Saturday, May 9, 2015

The Decatur Board calls for $13,488,500 school bond election.  The two-proposition ballot allows voters the option of deciding each proposition separately.  In addition to a new Dining Hall/Gym solution for Rann Elementary, several major items have been included in the propositions - new multi-purpose indoor facility; transportation, safety and security upgrades; building renovations; technology improvements - per the following cost breakdowns:

"Voters in the Decatur school district overwhelmingly approved two bond propositions totaling $13.5 million in Saturday’s election.

Proposition 1, which included money for transportation, security, technology and facilities, passed by a vote of 635 to 221, or 74 percent to 26 percent of the vote.

Proposition 2, which included money for an indoor multipurpose practice facility, was approved by a closer margin of 524 to 332, or 61 percent to 39 percent."
