Decatur ISD is pleased to offer transportation to and from school at no additional cost to eligible students living within the Decatur ISD district. The State of  Texas defines students eligible for transportation aboard a school bus as, those pupils that live 2 miles or further from the school as measured by the closest possible routing, whether or not this routing is the actual route utilized by the bus during daily operations. Published routes and the list of eligible passengers are continually reviewed throughout the school year for efficiency and compliance. If changes in routing or in a passenger’s eligibility are made, notices will be sent as soon as possible, and in the case of passenger eligibility, a grace period of one week will be extended for the parents to locate alternate means of transportation.
