Decatur ISD Superintendent Dr. Chad Jones will recommend Brandi Shisler as the McCarroll Middle School principal to the Board of Trustees during a special meeting on June 13th at 8:30am.

Shisler will fill the position vacated by Roby Nunn.

“Brandi brings a unique combination of experience, along with a love and commitment to Decatur ISD and to this community.  We are so excited to have her back in Decatur ISD and look forward to working with her to help support McCarroll Middle School students, staff and families,” said Jones.

Ms. Shisler received her Bachelors of Science in Mathematics from Texas Woman’s University in 2000 and her Masters of Educational Leadership from Western Governors University in 2018.  Brandi was most recently the high school principal at Maypearl ISD.  Prior to that she served as assistant principal at Decatur High School and McCarroll Middle School.  She was also the former girls soccer coach for Decatur High School.  During her time in the classroom she taught high school, middle school and elementary classes.

Upon accepting the position Shisler expressed her excitement about “coming home.”  Pending Board approval, announcements will be made in regards to the summer timeline for Ms. Shisler’s transition and dates will be set for staff and parent meetings.
