DECATUR, Texas — Decatur ISD is excited to welcome Brad Ingram as its new head girls’ basketball coach. Ingram, a veteran educator and championship-winning coach with a career spanning nearly four decades, steps into the role bringing elite experience to one of Decatur’s premier athletic programs.

"We are thrilled to welcome Coach Brad Ingram to lead our Lady Eagles basketball program," said Athletic Director Cliff Watkins. "He brings an exceptional wealth of expertise and a proven championship pedigree, most recently helping guide Boswell to a state title. His dedication to education perfectly aligns with our mission to develop student-athletes who excel both on the court and in the classroom."

Ingram comes to Decatur from Boswell High School in Fort Worth, where he served as the assistant girls' basketball coach and helped lead the team to a spectacular 2024–2025 Texas State Championship. His experience in building top-tier programs will immediately benefit the Lady Eagles.

Bringing 36 years of teaching and coaching expertise, Ingram’s distinguished career includes 18 years as a high school head coach. His versatile background features tenures guiding boys and girls programs across basketball, track and field, and golf. Alongside his leadership on the court, he has spent his career teaching advanced and on-level mathematics. As an accomplished professional in his field, Ingram has been published multiple times in Texas Coach and Scholastic Coach magazines on topics ranging from shooting techniques to championship mindsets.

Ingram earned his Master of Education in physical education from Texas A&M University, graduating with a perfect 4.0 GPA. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Howard Payne University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.

Outside of his professional life, Ingram is supported by his family. He and his wife, Amy, have three children.
