From the Texas Giant to Mr. Freeze to magnificent marble models...roller coasters are SO MUCH FUN! 6th graders were THRILLED to experiment with roller coaster design today. They've been studying Newton's Laws, potential, and kinetic energy. Our mini mechanical engineers were tasked with designing and building an operational roller coaster using insulation tubing, a marble, and painters tape. #mmsthemepark

The ART of teaching is obvious in Ms. D’s room! 🎨 Did you know that Ms. Diaczenko is a Decatur graduate, she has served 17 years as a Decatur teacher, and she’s hiked 47 miles on the Appalachian Trail?! 🥾 Her favorite part of teaching is the imagination of her students. Her classroom is full of life, just like Ms. D! 💙

It may be a rainy ☔️ Monday, but we’re having a blast in seventh grade Industrial Technology! This is Mr. Blessing’s 23rd year at McCarroll, and he currently teaches this class + Agricultural Science. 🐇🐖🐄🐎 MMS is proud of our veteran educators and the many career and technology based courses we now offer! We are planning a special 💰fundraising event💰 for Veterans Day, benefitting the Wise County Veterans Group.🎖Students will have the opportunity to purchase a ticket 🎟 to attend a Staff vs. Students basketball 🏀 game. With that purchase, they'll also be able to visit a Veterans Day concession stand. If you are able, we could use a hand stocking that concession stand. Thank you in advance for your help!
