Rick and Kaye Jones and family have donated two books to Decatur ISD libraries in memory of Chester Story. Chester Story passed away Sunday, June 4, 2023 in Cleburne.
In his letter to the district Mr. Rick Jones stated, "Coach Story was the father of Coach Kyle Story, former Head Football Coach and Athletic Director for Decatur ISD, and Teri Story Vrba, retired counselor at Rann Elementary. My family would like to donate a book for the Decatur High School Library and also one for Rann Elementary Library. Chester Story was a very successful basketball coach at the high school and college level and was loved my many. He would be honored to have the following books about basketball in the Decatur ISD libraries."
The books donated are titled, Make Me the Best Basketball Player by Will Graves and The Wisdom of Wooden: My Century On and Off the Court by John Wooden .
