Decatur ISD is proud to announce Annalysa Elledge as the new principal of Rann Elementary School, effective immediately. Elledge’s appointment is a testament to her proven leadership and deep commitment to the Rann community, where she has served for the past four years as the assistant principal.
"Annalysa Elledge has a profound love for and understanding of the Rann Elementary community, and we are delighted to see her step into this leadership role," said Superintendent Taylor Williams. "Her dedication to fostering excellence and supporting growth for both students and staff, combined with her extensive experience across various educational roles, makes her the ideal choice to guide Rann to new heights."
With 15 years of experience in education, Elledge brings a dynamic background in elementary classroom teaching and assistant principal roles. During her tenure at Rann, she played a pivotal role in building robust and inspiring behavioral and academic support systems.
"I’m incredibly honored and excited to step into the role of principal at Rann Elementary, a place that has truly held my heart over the past four years," said Elledge. "There’s no campus like Rann, and I’m eager to continue building on the systems we’ve created that support excellence and growth for every student and staff member. Most of all, I look forward to deepening relationships with our amazing staff, students, families, and community as we soar together."
Prior to Rann, Elledge served as an assistant principal at Bowie Intermediate School. Her education career also included service as assistant director and kindergarten teacher at GraceKids Early Learning Program in Paradise, a lead kindergarten teacher at Bridgeport Elementary, and 4th grade and later lead 5th grade English Language Arts teacher, both for Bridgeport Intermediate. Along the way, she’s honed skills in 1:1 technology, dual language programs, targeted interventions, peer mentoring, and curriculum implementation.
Elledge is a proud member of the Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association. She has also received numerous recognitions, including being a 2024 Graduate of the Decatur Chamber of Commerce Leadership program, the Dr. Hunter Humanitarian Award from the Bridgeport Chamber of Commerce in 2020, the DAR Literacy Award from the John B. Denton chapter in 2020, and three Teacher of the Year nominations.
Elledge is pursuing her Doctor of Education from Abilene Christian University. She earned her master’s degree in educational leadership and her bachelor’s degree in early childhood-grade 6 education, both from Midwestern State University.
Outside of education, Elledge has been married to her husband, Kaleb, for 18 years. Together, they have four children: Kara, Jax, Jonah, and Jude. Their family enjoys hiking, spontaneous adventures, photography, and traveling. They also find creative ways to serve their community and their church, Grace Fellowship.
