Lady Eagles Basketball to Defend UIL State Championship Title in San Antonio
The Decatur Lady Eagle Varsity Basketball team has officially left the nest, heading south to the San Antonio Alamodome to defend their UIL 4A Division 1 State Championship title. This Friday, March 6, at 5 p.m., the stage is set for an epic showdown against Waco's La Vega, the same team they defeated during the 2024-25 championship game.
It’s been an incredible journey to get back to the big stage, and the energy in the air is electric. Last year's win was the team's first in its history.
The girls' team hit the road early Thursday morning, fueled by the roar of Eagle Nation, sendoffs at each campus and across town, and the drive to bring that trophy back to Decatur once again.
