Decatur ISD's school campuses will be closed Thursday, Jan. 29, and Friday, Jan. 30, 2026, due to the ongoing inclement weather and poor road conditions. School events, extracurricular activities, and facility rentals will also be cancelled. Please note that Friday was previously designated as a student and staff holiday on the official DISD calendar.
We recognize that many of our students are involved in extracurricular activities. While most activities are canceled, limited exceptions may be made for specific student extracurricular activities or practices. Our administrative team is working with individual DISD staff to assess these scenarios. Any approved afternoon activities will be strictly voluntary. No student will be penalized for being unable to attend due to travel safety concerns.
