At 5:51 am the DISD main server went down. At this time this is NOT believed to have been caused by "hacking." We are working on a temp solution while the server is being repaired. Phone service is inconsistent at this time b/c the phones work off the internet. Students are completing scheduled lessons.

One of our DHS Law Enforcement student May graduates was recently hired by the Wise County Sheriff’s Office.
Austen Patterson was hired and sworn in as a full-time Wise County Correctional Officer (Jailer).
This is a result of the DISD & Wise County Sheriff’s Office partnership.
We are very proud of Austen, and all of our LE students, that have or will complete the DHS LE program and have a desire to join the law enforcement community. The process to get hired is strenuous!

State testing results for students are available in the Texas Family Portal today. The Texas Family Portal is a secure site to share any state testing results - STAAR, TELPAS, etc. Please check your email inbox for a personalized confidential email providing log-in information for this site. If you have any students in grades 4-12 who completed STAAR testing last year or any student K-12 who completed TELPAS testing (solely for English Language Learners), the results of that testing are available using this log-in information. Please let us know if you have questions or problems logging on.
