Math is so SWEET! Ms. Reyna's 5th-grade students practiced plotting ordered pairs on a coordinate plane and got a sweet treat in the process! Thank you, Ms. Reyna for going the extra mile for your students and bringing the sunshine to Young. #bethesunshine

Down, set, HUT! 🏈 Today our 4th graders competed in our 3rd Annual Super Bowl Extravaganza! They started with a pre-game warmup with their three coaches and some special football pros. They spent the day rotating through three quarters where they competed to be the Super Bowl champs! The competitions consisted of editing and revising sentences, math problem solving, and analyzing football related texts. In the final quarter, teams participated in some team building competitions to make one final push for win. In the post game highlights, both teams visited the concession stand to enjoy a refreshing Gatorade and snack. In the end, the 49ers were presented with the Lombardi trophy and their Super Bowl rings! 🏆

The Garden Club (Pre-K through 2nd grade group) met yesterday and learned all about the parts of a seed and the parts of a plant. The first of many Gardening Club meetings was a huge success and these kiddos are looking forward to more after-school gardening FUN! #bethesunshine
