WE PROUDLY PRESENT THE 3rd ANNUAL YOUNG ELEMENTARY’S 4th GRADE THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE!!! 🎈🎈🎈 🦃 Students read Balloons Over Broadway by Melissa Sweet and learned about the origin of the balloons in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. 🦃 Students then worked with a partner to design, create and manipulate their own balloon for our parade. 🦃 Students also wrote their own commentary to be read as their balloons paraded along Broadway! Did you know that November is National Gratitude month? During this Thanksgiving Break, we will be sharing all the people we are thankful and grateful for! We will start by showing gratitude to our amazing Pre-K team! Ms. Beville, Ms. Taylor, Ms. Canfield, Ms. Mandi, Ms. Misty (not pictured) and Ms. Maria (not pictured) go over and beyond each day loving our Pre-K babies! 4th grade student, Gamblynn Williams, has the biggest heart. She organized Young's participation in the KSCS Hawkeye & Michelle’s 10,000 for the Troops. KSCS partners with Support Our Soldiers to send holiday cards to the brave men and women overseas serving and protecting our country. Hawkeye & Michelle’s 10,000 for the Troops, has a goal to collect 10,000 cards. Young contributed 261 cards. Thank you Gamblynn for making a difference! You are the sunshine!! #bethesunshine
